Yesterday I washed, polished and waxed it. Then this morning it was running crappy at highway speed, so I gave it a tune up. Better now. Found the AutoZone points have a straight connector on the end of the wire where Bosch puts a 90* connector. The AZ wire connector doesn't fit under the dust cap, so that has to be left out.

Well it took a week or so but we finally tried it tonight and Wouldn't it figure, I finally get everything wired, adjusted and ready to go and the battery is dead. Mad Gonna let it charge overnight and try it tomorrow night.

one thing i might suggest is putting some sort of gusset on the inside of where your tabs are that mount the rack to the roof. any heavy load and that thing is going to want to move. plus i've seen how you drive Laughing

Great minds think alike. I will be adding some gussets and probably some expanded metal to the bottom .I built it to set 4" above the cage I don't have a lot of headroom. Today I picked up some aluminum plate to fab up a real set of skid plates no more road signs ..

the expanded metal will make it nice. i put some on mine just so it would actually hold something. for you it will do that, and keep it off your head. Smile
