Found a turnaround for some natural gas rigs close to home after the thunderstorm last night and got a bit of mud on it. Not bad for a street baja right?

Started sand blasting the rail frame, mounted wideopenmotorsports motor in Project II for a run test(still need to hook a couple things up) Started back on building Project II's motor as I finally got the studs i needed. Rebuilt the pedals for Project Willy style. Man what a busy Day off.

Okay, I got the bug back last night so that I could put it in the car show at church today. It will need to go back to my friend that is building the bumpers for me, for some more welding and for him to complete the side running bars. I am VERY pleased with this bumper! I will eventually paint the bumpers, rack, trim and side bars with black bedliner, and I will put more coats of the olive drab bedliner on the body. I hope you enjoy the pictures...

Not what I want on my Baja, but it would look nice on a Rabbit...

Dave

The top coat was light blue but it was flaking to show the original (or previous to the blue) yellow pain underneath.

I like your bumpers! I'm not fond of double tube, but as a single tube it would look great.

Oh...
And I would add bars underneath for skidplates.

ghettodish - looks 100 times better.

On my Baja I installed cutting brakes, welded in some support to put in the new suspension seats, put on my 5 pt harnesses, and welded a HUGE rack for the top to carry my cage traps. 6 foot by 4 foot by 8 inches high and I welded a mounting system that goes through the roof down into the roll cage for support. The cages are about 350 pounds and didn't want that resting on my rain gutters.

Pictures soon.

I bought an old bugpack trigger shifter that looks about 100 years old!

I installed my 3" body lift kit today. It's an interesting job to do solo...The job actually went ok. The only thing I forgot to do was unhook the brake fluid reservoir. It uncorked itself and made a nice mess in the garage.

I'll have to raise the seats. My line of sight is right at the bottom of the windshield frame. After a little math I figure the roof height will be right around 5'11" when I'm done.

Problem is your seats have to go up but your shifter stays on the floor.

My rack is done. Remember this rack has to carry 350 pounds worth of cage traps so the mounting brackets are through the roof and welded onto the roll cage. Cage clusters are 43" long by 15 inches wide. I can get on 4 clusters on the top. The rack can be removed, leaving the mounting brackets. Kinda scary drilling 4 holes in your roof but it all worked out perfectly.

Got the turning brakes done.
