Thanks for the support.

The foundation was really solid and the body relatively straight. Hoping to be done before years end. Weather and cash flow permitting!

i like how you didnt cut a hole in the firewall for the pedals, looks like you had to move the seat back quite a bit though

Fact is the guy who had the car before me was really tall and trying to reach the pedals and shifter would have been a problem. Relocating both the pedals and shifter made it a lot easier and it keeps everything out of the tunnel for maintenance purposes.

Just got it back from the paint booth on Sat. I am going to let it sit a couple weeks while I finish up the engine. I went with a medium grey metallic.

I like the color. I used a similar color for trim on mine...trailing arms, shift lever, brake handle, engine tins, etc.

Have you tried to install the engine yet? i had to cut the driver side rear railing out where it ties into the tranny horns. it was rubbing on the headers. ill post some pics when i get a chance on what im talking about.

For offroad racing, I don't recommend gauges in front of the driver. Not likely to have a chance to look at them. The co-driver can. If you decide to install gauges, the ones I suggest are:
- Oil Pressure
- Oil Temp.
A tach is only of use to a driver to determine shift points or for analysis of gear ratios.

I got that impression, but playing is not that much different. And if/when you decide to race, you will know already.
