Welp, started the primer today, We got the whole garage set up like a paint booth. Primered the fenders, broke the paint gun (we didnt buy the warranty lol Embarassed ), and sanded the fenders down. Gettin up early to prime the car, so we get an early start on sanding the primer, then hopefully first coat of paint goes on tomorrow! Cool

Heres the before pictures for you to compare to when paint goes on Razz

More pics soon Laughing

Busy busy day ahead, started at 7:30 AM, we plan on getting the first coat of paint on... OR getting up at 5 AM before school tomorrow and getting it on if all else fails. Got the car primed, now just waiting for it to dry, heres pics! Cool

Fenders are ready for paint, well be painting those when the car is outta the garage getting sanded prior to paint

And heres what the color should look like, its 2010 Ford Hi Perfomance White. Were partial to that color, this will make 3/4 of our cars this color lol Laughing

Engine is at BugZyla Fab. Should have it back and on the car soon! Very Happy

But for the meantime i've been bedlinering fenderwells and the firewall. Paint is done, needs wetsanding though! I'm pretty content with it, tho Ax350x is not at all. At the end of the day its an offroad toy, its all one color, and it WILL get me to school and work Very Happy

Sorry the pics are low quality, i took them on my phone :/

Well its crunch week for the baja! Dads took all week off of work to finish it with me, and so far here is what we have done:

1. Tail Lights mounted ( we used aluminum angle iron and hung them where the apron hinges should be )

2. Engine is mounted up, we havent started it yet but its all bolted together!

3. Rear Engine cage is properly mounted and hung on the back of the car!

To Do:
1. Finish headlights (Im off to autozone right after this post to get working on that)
2. "Fab" License plate bracket
3. Weld a bracket to the rear engine cage to hang the oil filter from
4. Finish installing the throtlle cable

Thats all there is right now but im sure there will be more that we find out along the way. Always seems to work that way for some reason! Rolling Eyes

Anyways here is pics!

Here is our tail light bracket we made from angle iron

Well we got it back from Daryll today, and it runs! Took it on the maiden voyage as soon as we got it untied at home(around the block Laughing )

I only drove it around for maybe 5-10 mins and i swear this car is more fun to drive then all my others combined Cool . I cant wait to throw a conversion beam on, reindex the the torsions, and go off road

In one of the photos it looks like the brake lights are LED. I know the set I have is a normal bulb, but if you can get them with LED. That would be a huge PLUS for me.

Thanks guys for the support!

And those were normal lights i had at first, but they weren't dual filament. I found LED ones to work as Brakes/Tails.

Alrighty its been a while since i touched this thread, but nothing TOO major has gone on.

My LP conversion beam is currently being built by Darryl! and i have recently aquired a 6 point Chirco cage for it.

My plans for the rear suspension are inspired by the chirco bug. My skills are limited and i like the simplicity of the cage setup.

www.chircoestore.com/c...cles_id=68

For the next few months i will be saving and aquiring parts to make the suspension upgrades go as quickly as possible, as this is my daily driver!

Other than that, nothing to report! Embarassed
