DISCLAIMER: I still believe Chirco is a fantastic vendor and they do a lot of really amazing stuff, especially in customer service. Where else can I get emails back same day from Joe? Not many places, thats where. They have a good selection, fair prices, and above all else buying from them helps me give our state a bit more taxes as compared to buying from cip1 or something else.

Quick summary of events:

12/16 ordered some stuff
12/20 emailed Joe asking if there was something on backorder (as I had not seen a shipment notice)
12/20 Joe said they were backed up some but it should be out that morning.
12/27 Emailed Joe, was told that they are having problems.

So here I am, 2 weeks later, and still nothing. Just really disappointed in a place I know normally has such fantastic service. My last order was place at like 3pm on a weekday, I got it the next day.

This time? 2 weeks and counting.. hoping to get a package tomorrow or maybe friday, but if that doens't happen its looking to be three weeks.. at that point in time I'll stop ordering. I guess I just wish they had been more upfront or had a disclaimer somewhere like "We are extremely busy with christmas orders, we are processing them as they come in and we'll get yours out as soon as possible." or something..


Just needed to vent some. Thanks all Smile

I had the same problem with my order. It was my first experience with chirco and i ordered new shocks for the front. I called then after 2 weeks and then weekly after that until they arrived two months later Confused But i have to say they are great shocks. hopefully next time is faster

I suspect that they have a great deal of there stuff in stock but possibly use some kind of drop shipping place for some items. Just wish he'd be upfront, I'd happily change my order to another variation of what I wanted if it made it go faster.

x2 on drop shipping. I always ask vendors if it is in stock to avoid that problem. Since I don't trust what the computer shows for inventory I am not afraid to ask a vendor to check the shelf. I was broke down in Pine Top Lakeside and my parts came in two days from Chirco.

i too had a slight problem the week before christmas. I ordered a couple of parts and it took 2weeks. But at the same time i ordered parts some time before christmas it came in 2 days? maybe its just holiday rush?

It shipped finally, but ya I guess i'll start calling to see if they have it in stock before hand. Just want to say again, I think Chirco is awesome 99% of the time, but this one just bugged me lol.

FYI, Most parts places let the inventory dwindle a bit at the end of the year, Bugzyla included. Reason for this is we have to pay tax on our inventory at the end of the year. Probably best to check when ordering in december to make sure items are in stock no matter where you order from.

Why do you get taxed on your inventory? If you have not sold it your not making any money? I'm a little lost on that one....

To be completely honest, I have no idea why we are taxed on inventory. But we are. Every politician in the universe is to blame for it! If they keep is up we will ALL be broke. I guess its not enough to tax us on what we make.
