it was actually the PO who painted the car, but i'm assuming he used something in a can like this:
www.eastwood.com/paint...aints.html

i'm guessing he used a can because he literally sprayed every part of the car with no regard for what he was spraying. everything from door handles to window rubber. i guess he also could have used a pneumatic sprayer, but i havent looked around for sprayer paint like that yet.
and good point on the rivets, i didnt even think about moisture prevention. i just thought it looked rad Very Happy
thanks for the comments, i hope that kind of answers your question

Well now you can say the rivets have a purpose Cool

Thanks for the link, i was thinking of using that to do my wheel-wells and rear engine bay. But for simpilicity's sake, (because its not $11 bucks a can! Rolling Eyes )I think im going to end up using Dupli-Color roll on bedliner instead.

No problem, yeah that stuff runs pretty expensive. I used a spray on bedliner (i swear by the stuff) for my wheel wells and rear engine bay. the car looks much cleaner, not to mention badass Cool

They are something like this

www.chircoestore.com/c...ts_id=5222

and then trimmed pretty far so that they are practically flat. and then they bolt onto the wheel wells by a little lip under it, like in the picture above. I'm not sure if the ones i linked are heavy duty or not, but mine are and they're very sturdy. looks like you had some fun at stoddard! Cool

Well. I ran out of Yamabond and made the fatal mistake of using black silecone on my oil sump. Needles to say a piece broke off at 125 miles. Now the engine is coming back off to access the damage. I think I may just buy a new bubble top and new crank......a longer stroke. $$$$$$ I know.
