Is there a tech inspection that needs to be passed to for pre-running?

Nope. You are responsible for making sure your pre-runner is up to it and safe enough.

Got baja62s Baja running again, then it ran out of gas, before I could make final adjustments.

Today I finished up welding some damage from all the hard runs I have been on in the last two years. The cracks really grew larger after the Ajax Mine Wash run.

I also finally installed new brackets for a reverse light and relocating the tail lights.

Here is a view of the hit on the seat bracket tube. Note the two cross bars I had installed to keep big rocks out. Also note the old bit of square tubing that held the fiberglass seats.

I was a bit close to the steering wheel. This tab to tilt the seat rearward should do the trick.

I also got around to making the right mirror mount

Installed a switch box with 4 switches and stereo in the Old Mans Baja, tonight I will be rewelding the roll bar and rear bumper welds that broke.

WOOHOO! Repaired my fuse block (was shorting out on the frame), got my headlights working, as well as my tails and am ready to go. I can actually drive at night without blinding the person in front of me! Although, if Eric ends up there again, I may just do it anyway... Razz

I went urban off roading. Found a few streets flooded enough that the floor of the rail was under water. Smile

Pulled it into the carport and finally hammered enough at the front end for my new nosebowl to fit! Very Happy also finished sanding w/ 320 grit on the body. Now time to get it down to 600 grit before paint Cool
