I'm thinking of dragging the baja up to the White Mountains. Anyone ever ran their carbureted baja up at 7,500-9,000' elevation? Will it even start without rejetting?

My carb is a single Dell 40.

Just curious.

Mine runs anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 ft...sometimes in a day. It'll only run a bit richer. No worries.

Depends on how it is jetted. If your running around 2% at idle and
1 % at speed it should be fine. To be on the safe side you can alway take one size lower idle and main jets with you. If it is jetted pig rich you might want to bring one and two smaller sizes with you. I take the rail to Pine Top Lakeside and it runs well. Even at Green Mountain around 11,000 feet it worked. You do notice the the drop in power from here to Pine Top and then a little more drop at Green Mountain.
