Put my new "IN MEMORY OF FALLEN OFFICERS" sticker on today, had Daryll make me a bigger one, the old one was just too small to see without people crawling up my backside on the highway Rolling Eyes

Wrapped the rear speaker wires in wire tubing. Vac'd out all the dirt and sand. Ran a gas tank vent hose. Amazing how much vacuum was on the tank after sitting for little over a week.
Getting her ready for a combo birthday/family reunion next weekend.

Camped at out my wife's uncle's farm outside London, Oh. We stripped the flat black paint off the wheels and cleaned them up. Hope the pic comes through.

Saturday had to jury rig the coil and an air cleaner at my family reunion. Self tap sheet metal screw for coil bracket and one of the acorn nuts for one of the air cleaners fell off some where in transit. Used zip ties to attach both. Never leave home w/o zip ties.. Cool

The VW gods were kind to you. Ask Dan Jones what happened to him.

No doubt perrib. I thought the same since I was 50+ miles from home and that was my transportation and was alone except for my trusty dog and co-pilot Ozzy.

So how 'bout it Dan?

ok well long story short i go to evit
and on the way back dropping my friends off cause i get good gas mileage
im going maby 5-6 mph over this speed bump and over i go and nocked off my coil had to replace a bunch of wires to the front, ignition switch a bunch of stuff.
and about jerry riggin
i do it all the time for short term fixes but people that do that for a fix its like ughhhhh how can you do that
just shows you never know what you get your hands on these days
i had my bug 2 days clutch went out, 4 days in with a clutch no brakes one hole on each side of the rear lines, and a bad master cyclinder, 5 maby 6 days bad starter, the list go's on
got to double check stuff

o and today i stripped the hole roof with this paint stripper from auto zone worked awesome and got most of the driver side and a little on the passenger side, so maby one more can and i should be done then off to the paint booth.

Yesterday I the clutch broke and had to drive the 6 miles home with no clutch in traffic! Turns out the bolt I had replaced the pin through the clutch pedal with (lost the pin) had worn out and broken in 2. Replaced it with apin from another set I had an everything is good this morning.
