Thanks JW, the connectors really seems to give a good solid connection that's for sure. I still have to put some in the back cage as well. That will be next after I get the steering hooked up.

Wow, didn't realize it has been almost 2 months since I have posted an update, although, don't really feel like I have got much done. I did finally get the seats mounted and can turn the front wheels with the steering wheel. Felt like that was a big accomplishment. Working on getting the radiator mounted now, and will move on to the pedals this weekend. Updated pics to follow in a few days.

Time to update the progress on the Ghia. As mentioned in the previous post, I was able to get the Seats mounted in thier final positions, and got all the steering hooked up. That was a challenge!

Also cut out the area to mount the rear tail lights. I think this will look really good. I really wanted to incorporate the stock lights into the design, and I think this will work good. What do think?

Next was getting the mounts made for the radiator. The original plan was to mount this in the front, but that proved to be too much of a pain, so came up with this. I will be running a fan underneath, so should still get enough air.

Then I just had to push it out of the garage and get some photos. My daughter is the model, she can't wait to take it for a drive.

Yesterday and today I spent some time working on the rear wing mock-up. Got some posterboard and some wood sticks, and came up with this. Looking for some input here. I have a couple ideas to make it a little less "box like" but other than that, I think I like it. How about those tail lights? Opted for some Bus lights here, thought it would be a cool touch.

Then, I took the front all apart. Finished all the welding on the front sub-frame and the bumper. Also made a front skid plate and added some lateral bracing between the front beam horns.

Now have both the bumper and front sub-frame ready to get powdercoated.

To tell you the truth I would skip the wing, Think it looks ugly... I work on some sot of scoop to pull air down into the radiator.

From "Sick as Hell" to "I think it's ugly" lol gotta love it. To be perfectly honest, I'm still on the fence about the whole thing. I don't like it as it is, but would like to have something there. I had thought of the scoop, at a minimum thought I would open up the top area as a grill. I think from here I will do two things, first I'm going to wait until I get the front back on the car so I can see the whole thing, second work on getting it smaller and more rounded to match the car. Looks too much like a carboard box on a beach ball right now. Anybody do any photoshop? I'm not very good at it but would definately entertain some ideas.

ideas are hard to convey when not standen there

That seems like it would be tough to fab up...

My first thought was too round it a bit, and up the air flow. It looks similar to something that you would find on a rail. Which of course, by nature are quite boxy. Whereas the Ghia has tons of curves. Here's an idea that keeps the same basic shape but accentuates the curves, and would get more air flowing around the radiator. (The grayed out area would be removed)

I thought angling it up more, to make it more aggressive might look good, but that kills visibility. Also, license plate locataion will be tricky with this setup... I think finishing the front and what not is the the best call. Good luck! I can't wait to see where this goes.

Shorten the wing to about half the length it is currently, just to cover the radiator. The current wing looks out of place. If you do it more like what baja blue suggested it would look a lot better.

from the side it looks like a small pickup bed. The car is so round it flows then you have a Box...Not usre on what to do. The smalller wing thing might work.
