And a lot of the exterior. Can't wait to see the dual rear shocks. It will make the difference between wallowing in the dirt and riding on top of it.

You should not of wasted your time taking off the body. Two shocks and some metal and a Mexican welding shop should not run more than $100.
My friend had disc brakes spindles, rotors and calipers in stalled for a couple hundred at the VW dealer.

hmm, do you have any pics as exaples as how i might do it?, the thing is, a friend of mine actually does professional welding (or so he calls it) and i might get him to lend me a hand, but *I* have absolutely no idea what to do....

and, the reason i dont take it to a shop to fix the wiring, or do some welding is because im 3 hours away from the closest one...i live in a ranch, so, yeah, its better if i do it myself

You have not bought the Building Bajas and Buggies book and the Factory VW manual or have you just not memorized them yet. Shocked There is a picture of a bolt in dual shock mount in the Baja Bible. Google Kafer Cup brace. Put the two together and you have a dual shock mount and frame hrn brace all in one.
I will need to see pictures of the books you bought or the Baja gods will be upset. Smile
