"SPARKY or FIREMAN" should be your new forum name. Glad to hear no one got hurt. Good thing you did not get busted for VW abuse. Smile

One of the guys at work here was working on his car at his apartment complex and caught it on fire. He was so well liked by everybody, they all just watched it burn instead of calling for help. One less Nova in the world. Of course the guy did not figure out if you are an a*#@ole, people are not going to help!

ok its been a busy week: installed new master cylinder, installed some used front rims that i sand blasted and painted (so straight only took 1 oz to balance), have every single thing wired up!!!! Horn, stereo, running lights, head lights, KC's, turn singals, tach, oh yeah! also installed a petronix electronic ingition, seems to be very nice. although i am having a hell of a time using my timing light to get the 30 degree full advance.

Did a little trailside repair putting my spare tire on where my Full sized rear stripped the drum threads and fell off. The spare allows the lug bolts to sit in deeper and so they had just enough threads to get us the 50+ miles off the trail and back home.

Coming soon: New Studs with Lug nuts.

Practised welding and got my rear license light bracket put on and wired up the light.

last few weeks got new 30mm rear torsions and bushings and caps installed, got window cranks on, lock pulls and door handle cups, rear mirror, and adjusted the toe in a little. Car geeting better every week...

Tightened up the link pins. Went to adjust the front wheel bearings and install the aluminum spindle nut clamps....it already had them. So I have an extra set if anyone wants a pair (Type 1, Kingpin).

Edit: I finally grabbed the Dremel and ground off that protuberance on the PICT3 so I could get a nut and bolt back on to secure the carb. I feel better now.

Last couple evenings I spent installing a radio and speakers. Finally got pic's of it today.

Pretty cool set up. You can change the colors of the display with preset colors or mix your own. It's also iPod/XM radio ready and has an additional aux input in the front panel.

Maybe you should of had some one else tuned it up. My 69 GTO with a 6.6 liter engine and trin power carbs got 19 mpg cruising at 75 mph. My dragster got better than 3 mpg.

You all know where the rail was Friday. Saturday it spent the day at the Bouldlers off road area off of SR 74. The hills out there make the hills at The Rolls look like speed bumps.

Me and the missus took a long drive in the Baja. We went up the Apache Trail from Tortilla Flat to the Roosevelt Dam. Then north on 188 towards Payson and then picked up the Beeline to get home. Five and a half hours. I think new seats to replace the Sparco poly seats just moved to the top of the to do list.
