I started on my baja a few years ago... rebuilt the engine and did a quick paint job and its sat in my yard ever since so Ive decided to start on it again. so far ive completely ripped out the interior and in the process either patching or replacing floor pans. Any advice on that would be helpful! I have also completely removed the old wiring harness. (well what was left of the old one) and any advice on putting the new one in will be helpful also.. Ill get pics up as soon as I get enough done to take pics on. any advice will be appreciated and if Im doin something completely stupid PLEASE let me know Thanks

Heres some old pics

Having recently rewired my baja, I can gaurantee that simpler is the way to go. Adding on to a wiring loom is easier that making a bigger and more complicated one. I cry myself to sleep at night knowing that I got carried away, and now its an enourmous pain to try and fix anything electrical.

As for the pan holes, if thier not bigger that a quater, cut some thin pieces of aluminum and bondo that bad boy. Assuming your still going to put the bed liner over that.
Good luck!

nice racing seat...lol Cool

as for the holes just cut a piece of metal and weld it over. if there nothing too major I wouldn't worry about it, from the looks of it there no bigger than quarter size so if all you want to do is fill them then aluminum and bondo will do the job like Chuck said

i was actually goin to leave the wiring the way it was but the guy who had it before me had 3 different fuse boxes and bare wires all over the place... and because of that Ive had a couple of fires in my dash.. and as far as the floor pans go I probly will just patch the smaller ones with filler and weld the larger ones.... And yes thats my suspension racing seat... If anyone can see anything else I need to do let me know..

How hard is replacing a wiring harness and what all do the new harness come with... such as fuse boxes fuses etc.

depends on where you buy them from, some kits come with everything from fuses to switches to fuse box etc.

Once you get a general idea of the wiring on a bug it's the simplest wiring you will ever find compared to any other car out there.

I know Bugz does complete rewire for a good price if your looking for someone else to do it
