I have been reading your site for months now and have to say its one of the best i have come across, That being said.

I bought this rail in the Fall of 08' coming off an 86' Honda XR250. I was used to the 2 wheel toys but knew nothing of VW other than i liked the idea of these rail/buggies. I got it running drove it a couple times then tore it down, during the winter spring, to the frame and basicly built everything new and tried to make it bigger/better. I like to drive it like a dirtbike but with a little more protection for me and a friend.

Hope you dont mind that i listed most of my moddifications.

Its quite unique a 2110 with single ports, but i have a Webber 44 IDF. The Big Bore Heads and Manifold have been worked to get closer to the flow of a duel port. I have tons of low end torque but it cuts out pretty early on the high end. Perfect for my local streets and woods fun.

And thanks, I worked hard on it and i have never done anything like this before. I never knew i could fabricate!

Good Looking Rail.... Shocked Very Happy

Looks like you have jumped in with both feet... Street legal is the only way to go...

My son had a Honda 4x4 and a Banshee, gave them both up for a Type4 powered rail...

There are allot of single port head motors used in Michigan... They make a ton of torque... Great for the sand dunes... I just sold my rails; one was built for the dunes (single port, cam, and big heads) the other one was set up for trails...

I'm running a Baja now... "The Cow Bug".. Mama likes it better..

I'm in Highland & we have a place in St. Helen...

Where do you go riding with your rail Question
