Mounted up the rear 6x9 speakers in enclosures I picked up from Wallyworld today. Was hoping to get the fan shroud flaps/thermostat before the weekend to mount them up but oh well......

Today I worked on my 68 instead of my Baja. Installed a new exhaust. Got angry at the shop because I missed some clamps while I specificly asked for it but luckily I had some old ones lying around.
Also tried to fit in new headlight rubbers but again they send me the wrong stuff. I need a new shop...

Got my heater flap set (powder coated from volkaholic) with thermostat delivered Saturday, much to my surprise. Started pulling the fan shroud off w/o dropping the motor. This is where I'm pleased with deciding to raise the body 3" 'cause I don't think it would've came out as easily.
Once the shroud was out, I quickly realized that there were no holes or slots for the flaps. CRAP!! No! No! No! No!!!! So I went to cutting and drilling on it. Pretty close but still have some trimming to do since they rub the cylinder tins.

Nice work. And I can't get my shroud out without pulling the engine... hmm perhaps I'll raise my body afterall.

yesterday i picked up a set of those chrome center caps for my wheels and i installed hood pins in my front end. no more troublesome hose clamps Smile yay!

today i put a new set of lug nuts on the rear wheels. i also made a billet knob (matches all the knobs in my car) that goes where the cigarette lighter would be.

Opened up the dash/box on the rail to see what size bulb the alternator light takes. I had to remove the light assembly to be able to pull the insides out to see the lamp. Forgot a valuable lesson learned a long time ago but evidently forgot...disconnect the battery before pulling wires. One of the connectors came off and made contact with a mounting bolt. Sparks, smoke, melted insulation and a welded shut connector. Replaced wire and connectors. Said to hell with it, I'm ordering a couple of replacement light indicators. Embarassed

Spent about 6 hours working on the Ghia today. Made some supports for the front shocks, and added more bars to the interior cage.
