1. Welded 1/8 inch steel to my roll cage to reinforce the firewall.
2. Welded in the frame for a 65 mustang gas tank behind the front seats.
3. Custom cut some kick plates to mount the petcock for the fuel system.
4. Wired the dash.
5. Bled the brakes, adjusted the stars.
6. Put new rubbers on the doors.
Luckily my engine hasnt given me any trouble yet. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!

I don not feel worthy. All I did was take off the fan shroud and clean the garbage out of the cooling fins.

My rubber "booty" on the master cylinder would leak in the mornings sometimes. I guess it contracted in the cold?

Saturday I went out to Lower Sycamore ran the top and then the wash up to upper Sycamore and took Four Peaks rd to FR 11 to Mesquite Creek. I saw 4 rails at Sycamore, only one appeared to have a skid plate. At Mesquite Creek a sheriffs helicopter was flying over head. Being on the Four Peaks side of the road I ran down the wash only to find the route through the 87 over pass filled with sand. I went back to the official entrance and saw a Sheriff driving down a closed wash and a USFS Ranger I knew. She said they were looking for a package about the size of a child in a black trash bag duct taped hanging in a tree with a blue bandana that a couple of hikers had reported. I know they had to go look but I think it was a hoax since the hikers could not tell them what side of the highway it was on. I looked for an hour but saw nothing. I ran back 11 and ran the trail that follows 89 back to run the loop around Sycamore one more time. It was nice all day but when past Fountain Hills all the sky to the west was jet black. I managed to get home before it rained. This time the ride there was more dangerous. At Dobson past Broadway an old man just kept slowly moving into my lane never signaled or looked. A mile from home a red Lexus SUV pulled in front of me at 40 mph and started turning right into a neighborhood and changed their mind. I had to turn right up onto the sidewalk. It lost traction going up the side walk and spun around. Lucky for me all the traffic stopped except for the Lexus. When I got back up to speed they where turning into the next neighborhood and disappeared by the time I got there.

Now if everyone drove a baja, people wouldnt have these kind of issues with speed. Although I do wish I had a fifth gear.

Worked on the heat. Tore the fresh air box a part to replace seals on the control flaps. Found a big a$$ crack in the air box. Gotta fix/seal that up now. No! No! No! No!!!!
Tomorrow hopefully will be intalling the air box, hoses and cutting vent holes in the hood. Oh, and making a 2nd attempt to install the tubes between the heat exchangers and the body. It's a real pita with the 3" body lift. They don't want to make the bend..... No! No! No! No!!!!

Went out and bought some metric wrenches, sockets and ratchet so I have the basics to work on my new (used) sandrail. Wiped down the chrome on the motor and wiped down the frame and seats. Knowing my luck, it will sprinkle or rain tomorrow and I'll have to do it again. I don't have a garage I have it parked under my back patio with a cover over it. But it gives me something to do besides being a couch potato.

This is the first award Smokey has ever won, and it was a 1st place award Cool

I personally have not had his motors so this is totally hearsay. From a couple of people that have had or have say they have many issues with quality of lasting (1000 to 3000 miles). And trying to get a hold of him with problems is a big issue. That has been in the last 3 months. A few years back he had very good product. Not trying to dis him just what i have been hearing from owners of Bergmann motors. I personally would try to find a local builder
