Well I just got off the phone with Daryll. The rear was pretty well knackered. They put 24 hours of labor into fixing the previous fabricators screw ups. Daryll is going to post up some after pics. Now on to the front after the new frame head gets here. He tells me the front suspension isn't even cycling. The mounting is causing it to bind and essentially be like a hard tail Harley in front. No wonder the previous owner thought the front was "a little to stiff". The last owner bought a lot of good parts and threw them at the car, but whoever they took it to for fab work screwed them and now me over.

Looks like the front end is f'd up also. Going to have Daryll finish off the cage and go full tube front end. It's only money right, lol. Shocked

Video's of how messed up it is:

On the plus side the car will be completely good to go when Daryll gets done with it. May as well go with a Saco rack also.

And thats with all of the bolts in it too!!!! Shocked Shocked The bottom of the heater channel is pretty much gone on the passenger front, as well as the prevoius owner putting in the frame head incorrectly and now there isnt much to work with short of tying the beam into the cage. This car has a lot of nice parts, just didnt have anyone to put it together the right way I guess.

Got the Saco rack ordered up and a new fuel cell for the front. Should all get to Daryll next week sometime. I did 2nd day air on the fuel cell, but the rack is coming ground from California. I called the people for the Whiplash Racing series and I just need a full cage, fuel cell, harness, and proper clothing. Then I can race it. So I'm hoping to do that next year. This summers plans are to have Daryll put an Ecotec or Subaru motor in it.

Daryll is going to rewire the car and make me some 4" over arms to replace the 2 1/2" ones I currently have. He took them in on trade, so if anybody wants them ask him. Going with the carbon fiber race cut front end and carbon fiber rear fenders. Scott is swinging by Daryll's today to get me a quote for 3 suspension seats. Mounting one in the back so I can have storage on either side of the seat inside the baja. Hopefully Daryll can post some pics of the progress so far. Merry Christmas to me, lol.

Here are a few shots, first the completed rear suspension, then the front-ectomy. We will start putting tubing in tomorrow.

Just sent the payment off for the carbon fiber front end and rear fenders. Should be to you in 10 business days Daryll.

Don from Don's Bus Box gave me the contact info for a guy that wires up ECU's for Honda V6 swaps. The cost is $800. I called around on engines and they run about $500. Add $600 for an adapter and clutch. Then all that's left is a radiator and fans. Pretty cheap for engines ranging 200-265hp.

Is that the beam that came on the car or a new one?

Thats the beam that was in the car, it will work fine in the car now. The chromoly for the arms will be here either today or monday. The bushings that were in the beam were the wrong ones, we had hell just getting the arms out. That was part of the problem on the front end being so stiff.
