Drove my baja in the Veterans day parade in mesa with the Patriot Guard.

we had a B17 bomber do a flyover followed by a P-51D Mustang and what appeared to be a DC-3 flying in formation. i'm being told it was a C-45

Tried to install the heater hoses from the heater boxes to the body but with the 3" body lift they wouldn't go. Not without a hellacious kink that would block 70% of the air flow. Even used a heat gun to soften the hose. Winter is fast approaching here on the east coast so I need to get some thing going.
I'm going to have to come up with another idea. Maybe flexible exhaust pipe or hose?

That was a C-45. I flew in one from Puerto Rico to Mobile Alabama when I was 3, which pretty well dates me! Very Happy

I would bend a coat hanger to the shape you need it. ie. top of the outlet and top of the inlet; go to FLAPS and try to bend the flexible exhaust to fit. It would seem to be less flexible than the regular duct work.

Were those planes from the confederate air force? OOOPs, I think they changed their name to be politically correct.
Any way I remember fueling them when I worked at an airport here in NY.
Then I drew the short straw and had to fly a C206 to pick up the others with the longer straws that got a ride in the B17 when it repositioned to the next airport on the tour.
Almost joined the group.

After finishing my chores, I started gathering all the air ducts and tubes to get the heat going. Tried using the stock type tubes that go from the heater boxes to the body but they don't quite fit w/o bending too far since the body is lifted 3". Searched around the hardware store for something but no good. Thinking about trying flexible exhaust pipe.
Any suggestions?
