Is that a stock mirror? if so, where'd you get it. Mine is embarrassing!

And I did nothing to mine today, first time in many months. It was wonderful to get to drive it finally.

Sorry. I don't know where it came from. It has been hanging around for about 15 years. It has a curved mount for tubing that has two places for screws. I drilled and tapped the top tube. It is all steel so it is old. I would like to have had a few more of them.

I bought limit straps today for all 4 corners. I'll be putting them on tonight after I get off of work.

Took mine to the car wash Saturday. It thanked me by letting the acc pump rod clip and spring get pushed off. (Porsche gets over $20 for the clip, spring and washer.) I made it a few hundred feet from the car wash to Warner Rd. before it stalled and would not start. Use a piece of wire to keep it on. I learned how important the accelerator pump is on a Zenith carb.

I did some dash layout and cut out the opening for the speedo. Also welded on the rear fenders.

Put the new 1 piece front end (scored for free) on mine, put some seats in "Willy Style" my Youngest sons, and worked on seat mounts for "Project II" my other sons baja. Oh also helped Caversmoon get his closer to driving again.

today I got home and cleaned out the baja. took out the seats and harnesses. took out the shocks in the rear and organized what was what and where it should go. tomorrow I'm going to cut the cage apart and take it out. the reason for that is that the guy that I bought it from did the welding and he did it with a crappy 110 mig welder. the welds are all bobble gum and pieces of wire not even melted. the guy used odds and ends for material,he tried to use a stop sign post for part of the shock mounts and pieces of exhaust pipe for tubing in the rear of the cage. least to say is that it was and is wrong, but not according to him!!! after that take it to the shop and start tubing in a cage and new front end.
