Wired up a trailer type connector to the lights for when I tow the Baja. This allows me to use the lights that are already on the Baja without adding those ugly magnetic lights. Came up with the idea before leaving on vacation earlier this summer. Just did a "quickie" for that trip. Today I made it a bit more permanent. Put a pigtail (extension) on the tow bar and ty wrapped that. Now it's plug and play... Wink
Tidied up the tool bag and replaced lost tools.
Cleaned up the CV's from the old axle assemblies. I plan to carry at least one of those assemblies as a spare, along with a full set of CV bolts.

I finished up the front disk conversion. I had a brake light switch squirting out brake fluid. Now I can stop on a dime.

I did some work on the rear tail lights on the Ghia today. Got most of the sheet metal grafted in the way I want it. Posted pics in Projects and Builds. Let me know what you think.

Yup! I sure have ghia. I am quite short on funds right now so I mostly just tinker with it and play with what I do have. I am thinking about putting an old car stereo in it that I have laying around the garage. Just put in the OOOGA horn I had in the garage as well. HAHA! Man, I need some money so I can get some new tires and finally order that shopping cart full of stuff I have saved online.

Other than the time you don't have, what else does it need?

Needs body work 1st Passanger "A" piler under the vinal rusted a hole in it.

Engine needs a full rebuild. intake gasket to head sprung a leak and sprayed water into the block(Chocelet milked it). (engine is out of the car) Transmission A500 needs to be rebuilt and beefed up (Transmission is out of the car) some more with a better stall. (Has a locking Stall).
Rear Axle needs to be redone/upgraded. it's a 8 1/4 with a 3.91 posi. This was the main reason why the car started to sit. This would be the 3rd rear end in the car that I have blown up. Looking at a Ford 9" as the 8 3/4 rear ends are hard to fine cheap now a days. Plus the ford will take Disc Brakes with a E-Brake.

and a bunch of fixes for thing I did to the car as a teenager, like cuting the rear seat side panels out to fit in 10" sub woofers. etc. or the way funk crossmember and transmssion mount for the A500.

The supension is done with all polygraphite bushings with SCCA road corse type Torshion Bars and Springs (No to Zero Body roll) Never put the front and rear sway bars into 1" for the front and 3/4" for the rear. Budy had a "Mits Eclipse GSX) he would race. So I had to do smothing to beat him.

The car would run mid to low 13's in the qtr with a best of a 13.2 but it would not handle and that was the project I was starting to work on when I blew up the rear end in the car last time. At the same time I traded My 76 T/A 6.6 (Hawaii Rust Bucket) for a 1967 VW Half street bug Baja.

I started to do some work on the bug and just kept doing more and more and you can see were the baja is today...It needs help to get it going again. The Duster ended sitting as more work was done on the Baja.

p.s. The Duster is my 1st car, paid $600 for it in oct of 1984. The car Duster has been redone 3 times over the years was going onto the 4th about the time Lisa moved in (Dec 2001) and that is were it sits today.
