Just got a 72 baja, have a few questions that have probably been answered many of times, but here they are once more!
What would be the best suspension set up, for just moderate off roading?
Also does any one have an extra motor for sale? Mine did not come with a motor.
Lastly what are some good shops in Phoenix to get parts from? Thanks for any help in advance!!!

Chirco in Tucson is a local favorite for parts as well. And if you become a dues-paying member of this site, you get 10% off at Chirco.com.

Welcome to the site! Post up some pics!

Oh, and Bugzyla is located in Mesa, in case you were wondering where "Barackistan" was. Laughing

Sorry no pics yet! Baja is getting delivered tonight. Oh yeah it is a 69 not a 72, got it sight unseen from someone i know he thought it was a 72 until he looked at the title. Also if anyone has any parts for sale anything let me know (motors, seats, wheels, interior, etc....) Thanks everyone and i will post pics tonight, hopefully!

Where is the VIN plate at? Also I need some floor boards for the passenger side! Anybody have them, or where is the cheapest place to buy in town! Please dont say Dougs he is very expensive. I have tons of family in So Cal so I can always have them pick up parts.

Chirco's has pan halves and pan quarters. The ribs in the panel adds strength without extra weight.

Welcome to the madness! Cool And yes, we are picture freaks here.
I did replace both my floor pans and I believe I got 'em from Chirco, don't remember them being too expensive. As some one said, as a paying member of AzBaja, you get a discount at Chirco so that should help with expenses.
As for the suspension, I have balljoint up front and IRS rear. I've added adjusters to both in case I need to raise or stiffen them a little, but I did beef them up a little by adding some welds to the stock spot welds. I plan to do mostly mild off-roading simply because out here on the east coast there ain't much else.
Any way. Good luck with your project and keep us posted,,,,WITH PIC's...
