Looks great Laughing Is that a breather line on the rear side of the valve cover? I have always heard they must be fwd so they don't fill up with oil while you climb that big hill

I have heard that but what happens when you go down a big hill?
I put them in the middle on my dragster.

1915 you ready for the back road to Crown King? I'm planning on a two day trip next weekend.

Yes it is, and the story behind that is that I bought this from my father-in-law who tapped both valve covers at the same time in the same place not realizing that they face different ways on the engine until he put them on. One of the many things I plan on fixing. I'd prefer them to be in the middle too perrib. Only makes since because you might find yourself going down a big hill too and oil flows both ways

Perrib, I'd love to do Crown King but I need to get the rail running and registered first. I ordered a carb rebuild kit from Doug's Bugs and they should have it in next week so I will see how it runs after the rebuild. If I'm not up and running by next weekend I will definitely catch up with you the next time you go out. I have always wanted to do that trail.

That's an interesting point. However, you really only need a breather when you're under full throttle. I'm usually using more throttle when going UP, rather than DOWN, though.

Just a thought...
