took most of this weekend off. I cleaned the rust out of the motor, and will clean up the head tomorrow. not sure how much past that I will do.

instead took the girlfriend and the dog up to munds park to play in the snow, and ride around sycamore on the XR600 today. man is it nice to get out and play a bit instead of just working on the project.

oil pan, head and intake back on, cleaned up and painted. had to help cook diner or I woulda finished buttoning back up the motor tonight.

worked out most of my brake line issues/acquired or ordered parts to finish up the brakes. painted the nose cone, and played around with a new awesome camera I got. just dosn't do closeups well without buying another lens. had to stand against the wall in the garage to get these shots, and at the end of the driveway for the other

well the brakes have one more hose to hook up, and they are done, the gauges are in, but not wired yet, I'm procrastinating on the dash wiring.

the motor is almost back together

and scored some stuff off craigslist that will be great once I get some coilovers to go with them. or I heard the fox smooth body shocks I've got can be threaded for coilovers??

well was a good couple of days off. got the brakes all done. just need to bleed them. and the wiring harness is done. just need to clean up the behind the dash stuff.

now I just need a starter. but with no support bushing in the front. will an auto stick one work with a 002 trans? or someone mentioned a Porsche one?

As long as it has the 002 bell housing yes the autostick starter will work.

the wiring harness is much cleaner now. I've started to paint the roll cage in safety orange. although I think I shoulda primed it where the cage was painted blue. its going on very well over the white I sprayed inside though.

and the auto stick starter went on fine. gonna try it as soon as I set the timing, since I'm at TDC on the motor now. anyone know what the static timing should be on an old ford 2.3?

Had a good time at bugfest today. Scored some good deals. New brake/clutch setup, with throttle

and some Gear one disc brakes for the rear.

the only problem is the hubs are for short stubs, and I'm pretty sure I have long stubs. so I think I can shim it out and make it work. either way the price was right on em. they appear to be new just not in the box.

wohhoooooo

so I am biting the bullet. gonna order some coilovers.

to support all this stuff

so due to this decision, I'm gonna have some parts people as I clean up the parts.

a set of 4 lug rims, might include the tires if someone wants them enough.

26mm 26 9/16ths torsions, stock boxed rear arms, axles and some fox 14 inch 2.0 emulsion shocks. so if you want any of these, let me know, maybe we can work a deal. otherwise I'll be cleaning them up and posting them for sale.

On the rear, YES. On the frt, 2.0's are good unless racing.
