As long as you have ground clearance and it is dry 98% of the trail is 2wd.
It is easier to go from LP to CK as you go down the worst two spots. What exhaust do you have now. Apache Muffler can add a u bend and a muffler for a fair price.

Air is the big screw above the small fuel screw on DS of carb, You have the best off road exhaust, go to Apache Muffler and have them weld on a u bend pipe and quiet muffler it used to be about $40.00. Save your money for a good air filter. You also need the exhaust preheat hooked up for when it is under 60 degrees outside. The nipple for the down draft tube is missing and so is a filter for the oil breather. Cages get bent first time you use it for what it is made for.

whats the down draft tube?? could be why i dont know what it is LOL
Are they located in mesa or AJ?? i would like to go have that done asap, its just to damn loud. i can have them get the preheat together im sure. i was going to get a new oil breather because that one is lame. some more work to do before i can take it out as of now. im going to bleed the breaks tomorrow morning and try to get the windows in and the lights working.
what kind of air filters are popular for offroad?? the cage looks great for a cheesy krylon job. im sure it will get beat up but that doesnt mean that it cant look pretty before.

It is the part going down from the stock oil breather. You can cut it flush and solder a penny to the bottom of the breather. Google can be your friend. Jeff Hibbirts book building Bajas and Buggies will be your best friend. Apache Muffler is on the north side of West Main St in Mesa. If they can not do the preheat I can. You need to get two Empi heater riser block off plates to fabricate them with.
Pre heat tube

Offroad air cleaner, These $40.00 air filters come with a chessy filter you replace it with a paper one or KN covered by 2-3 outer wears and it works almost as good as the $300 UMP filter assembly. Note the bracket to make sure it never falls off again.

when adjusting the fuel screw how much of an adjustment is going to be made before i will notice a difference?? will it make it idle better?? i am having a problem now after i adjusted the valves to where they need to be for it to idle correctly for a while. it will idle for a few minutes and die like its getting flooded. i will try and play with the carb a bit more and see how it works. im sure i can get it tuned in pretty well

Turn the screw 1/4 turn at a time it takes a while for the engine to react.

Could be Rich ,lean and/or improper timing. Your suspension will work as long as you don't go to fast off road with it.

It alway nice to check the basics. I know the compresion came up when you said it ran better when you adjusted the valves.
