Hi Fellas,

wazhier, I first thought Yuma, because I am a Marine Vet, hence the name Grunt-0341, but read in other forums that it is very boring, crime is horrible, and a report that a woman was kidnapped in broad daylight brought some where and was raped. Forum writers wrote that it was not safe to walk down the streets there. It scared me to bring my family there. What do you know of the place? Is it as bad as I read? Here is the link I got the info from www.city-data.com/city/Arizona.html

im in yuma working atleast once if not twice a week. it is the most boring town i have been to to say the least!!! crime is preatty much the same once you get close to our boarder in any town. i also work in tucson once every other week and could careless for that place(sorry for the guys who live there) to. i would be more scared to walk down the streets in tucson or south of tucson then in yuma myself. these are just my thoughts.

Thanks wazhier,

I guess what I read about Yumma was right. How are the other towns around there? What you wrote about Tucson also worries me, that is why I'm more inclined to look at places around Tucson and not in Tucson per say.

Check the average rainfall and weather in az towns. Check zillow.com for home prices. 1 hundred per square foot for a new build is a good average... Rancho Sahuarita

I'm considering working with Mexican youth, in a prevention/counseling program, through my church. Also I may wind up eventually moving to Mexico itself. After active duty in the Marine Corps, I joined the National Guard and worked as a Chaplin Assistant. I'm considering working with our military also.
