Figured I would throw some pics up of my 68 Im working on. Pulled the body off this past week to put new heater channels in. Car is rust free except the PO parked it for 8 years with a leaky garage roof dripping on the driverside running board and it rusted from the outside in - go figure.

Here is what she looked like before surgery

Fresh off the pan

Pan pulled out ready to get a small battery tray patch and then get herculined

Rear shot, I am also building a rear triangular truss that spans the shock towers and ties down to frame horns. This car will be run at the track once or twice - dont want any flex

This is the part that will be replaced, actual channel is decent, but o-well, gonna be fun

Ya, not really pushing to sell. I just dont have a spot to store the car for a few months. The body is gonna be a lot more work than I wanted. Really, the body is probly better off getting chopped for a baja - and even then it needs some quarter panel work to be perfect. Ironically enough, I would keep it and look for a body to throw on there - LOL Im just throwing it up for for sale to help any 67 owners that need some of the hard to find 67 only items - this car has quite a few hard to find items in good condition.

Is the 68 running? In the first picture I see a stinger sticking out

That was when it "WAS" running. I pulled the motor out of it and put it in the baja you have Wink

Thinking back I should have kept that darn 1600 - lol, i miss it. It now sits apart waiting for my heater channels to arive.

Little update. After a whole 20 hours of work its back together, at least the drivers side is. I am debating on the passenger side. Its got a small area of rust, but so small I might just patch it. The driver's side was a lot of work, BUT after doing it the first time, I am confident future jobs will be much smoother. It was quite difficult to find all the spot welds and get the channel out. I would say 15 hours was just getting it out, and only a few to put the new on in and weld it up. Next time, I wont pull the whole body off, its much easier to unbolt it from the pan and just raise the front up a foot or so. Anyways, here are some pix, oh and the doors line up like a dream!

Should be buttoning it up this Friday and putting the temp motor in it to drive around with.

Question, where did you get your seam sealer? I need to pick some up
