I would rather have a burnt clutch than a broke trans Smile 2100lb presure plate in my baja and it slips a little.

so is that the supercoupe engine? incredible Shocked !!!!!

I took the baja up to the hills this weekend and it was a blast to drive in the hills. I climbed up a hill first time and it took a fwd samurai 3 times to make it in 4wd. the torque is amazing even with a slipping clutch. it crawled up some pretty nast hills.

I have bolt on mounts for my 2x3 swingarms and one of them came loose and the tire folded inwards. I just loosened the 4 hex bolts, jacked up the mount and retighten them. have you guys seen these mounts that bolt on?

they went through some pretty rough stuff that I wouldnt dare go through though. the samurai was barely a samurai anymore it was so chopped up and busted it was funny lookin, with cattle fence side rails and everything!!!

have you guys heard of the bolt on swingarm mounts before? I will try and take some pics so you can see them. it seems like I could move my torshion bars one spline to jack it and use these to do it very simply. I am gonna study them and do some research first. I at least need to put a pin or bolt in to make them stop spinning, and some torque on the bolts!!!

those probably wont cut it for an offroad car. you should either weld them in, or but the actual weld in mounts. make sure they are in the right place first

smoked a 350z vert this morning, he hit it going around a corner, I jammed second and it didn't slip for the 1st time evah. then I blasted past him real quick, he was pokin it pretty hard. I hit 3rd and slipped major clutch(stinkin) and it caught finally then I sped past him again and he turnd off. the sound scares most people away. oh I have brand new 31inch bfg's also, LOL!! I am gonna put the street tires back on and go look for some STI's.

Thats cool dude. I would totally consider H2o just for the airconditioning factor! ...and to get any where near 200hp from a VW typically requires substantial chunk of change and some reliablity. I recently saw a Vtec neatly stuffed in Baja, dont know power #'s but it looked sweet.

Good job representing with that Samurai too!

yeah you couldn't even get close to a 200hp bug engine for what I have into the v6. the potential is very cheap also. boost controller should net another 100 hp easily then it would be at 300 hp. do some fuel and turbo for $1500 and I would be in the 400 hp area with head porting. I plan on keeping it stock boost as long as possible.
