Anything special I need to worry about? Anything that make them not so "wanted"? Going to go look at one tomorrow it's a project car but I was just wondering. Nice thing= NO EMISSIONS Smile

Swingaxle rear is, for some, the downside. Others love that. IRS can be installed with a little bit of fabrication to weld in the pivots for the arms.

Original engine was 40hp 1200cc. Look at the engine. If the carb is a single Solex 28PICT, it is still the original motor. If it has aluminum intake manifold ends with 2 tubes at each head, it has a 1600+.

Original electrical was 6 volt. Good chance both have been upgraded. Look at the battery. If it has 3 caps, it is still 6V. Not a big deal to upgrade to 12V.

Probably more of a concern is rust, as with any 40+ year old car. Even in AZ.

Can you make a custom front torsion housing that will except the link pins so you don't have to cut out the front end of your car?

Uuuummmmmmm, Thuff...

He already HAS King & Link front suspension....
:~P

Actually, if he had Ball Joint and wanted K&L, Tweeds USED to make K&L arms for BJ front ends. They don't make them now. But since he has K&L, he doesn't need to convert.

It will be fine. The worst draw back is the door locks that are noted for unlocking an the door opening. Get some good seat belts. Drive it and change what BUGs you the most. See you in the desert. Drve it an make sure it does not pop out of any gear. You could do a quick saftey check to see what it needs right away.

Guess I'm stammering...LOL
Something weird going on with posting right now. Each time I post it tells me that the line ""posting" is not an object" ????

My 65 got flogged into death by fatigue. The doors never once popped open.

It only happens when the aluminium striker plate gets worn down.
