I'll lay it out for you.
It's a Sedan with the roof cut off and home depot support beams.
God only knows how well he put that engine in there.
...
I donno, that right there would cause me to turn around and start running the other way.

Not sure....I have to give him a call to find out the details. Im brand new to VWs so I wouldnt know one motor from the next with these cars, lol. Looking at it I know I would have to move the gas tank from where the back seat used to be to the front and reinstall rear seats, relocate the radiator and possibly refab the roll cage to fit the rear passengers. After that it will be a learn as I go project. Do you think it would take much work to get it dune ready?

eww.
dune ready?
like full on dune ready?
Read up on some projects, and builds.
get to know a VW, from the beam to the motor.
study it.
First, its not a VW motor, VW's are air cooled, no raditor.
That ones either a subby, pinto 2.3,corvair motor, or who the hell else knows.

I agree- pass. Too many things done that you don't know about. If you start with a nice, simple, un-bastardized bug/baja, you can learn about it as you go. OR, buy one that has been done RIGHT.

Yeah thats what I was thinking......I would like to keep the cost down, otherwise I would just go with a rhino.
$2000 seems very steep for what it is.

Make no mistake- if you want a seriously dune-ready baja, you may end up spending quite a bit o' cash. It all depends on what your idea of 'dune-ready' really is.
