The classic in the background is a 1925 model-T
The 90 go kart is my 7 year old daughters. She races it at a couple of local tracks. Very Happy She wants me to sell it so she can get a two seater for her and her sister to cruise around the farm in. Cool

I realize this thread is a few months old, but I was wondering how you insured the framhead was properly aligned when you welded it on.

I am about to tackle this and any hints or tips would be great!

Bajawarrior and I just went through this issue when we put re-attached mine (extended 2"). My advice would be to take LOTS of measurements, tack it on, then mount the beam and take LOTS more measurements. Mine looked good until the beam was hung, then a slight error at the frame head was a BIG error at the ends of the beam, and visible even to the naked eye.

Thanks!
Thats what I want to avoid. It should be interesting taking measurements since I will be starting with a ball joint front end. I figure I will have to just try to clamp/tack everything in place and measure to some reference points on the rear or pan itself. This will need to be correct on 2 axis: yaw and roll.
Is there a way to mod the existing BJ frame head or the LP beam itself?
Anyone else out there have some good advice?

Nope, I'm not a pilot but it seemed like the correct terminology!
It does looks like some of you guys try to fly your bajas a bit, so maybe yaw and roll aren't such a stretch.

If your keepig the beam in the same spot. Weld up a small jig to the lower bar on the ball joint beam and use that to help center the link pin lower tube... if not traingaleate corner to corner laser levels etc.Level the car 1st both front to back and left to right the use more lovels on the beam thena triangale corner to corner.

Is it worth it and advisable to weld the LP frame head on moved forward about 4" or so? Is this only for running longer arms and lots of travel?
