alright, i know that one is bad. a constant tapping coming from the rear end is what i hear, that is consistent with wheel speed. definately not a bearing...
how do you figure out which one is bad and where do you find those 12 point allen heads or 12 torx, whatever works?

Mine are just a 12-point socket (I forget what size- mine are 930, so don't know if the bolts are the same size as yours or not).

Is your axle angle excessive or close to max for the CVs? Is it noticeable when driving straight, or just turning corners?

I'd measure the distance between tire and fender. Then, jack the car up, and try and jack the trailing arm until you have the same tire/fender clearance (droop is to same point as when car is on ground, only with tire in air). Turn each tire, and see where clicking is coming from.

Never had to do this- I pulled that outta my hiney. Hope it's some help.

i can hear it only when i'm going straight normally at higher speeds, a constant click-click-click. angle is good, nothing chnaged recently, didn't get air...
and i jacked it up last night, tried to spin the tires, couldn't really get anything out of it. tried jolting it back and forth still nothing...
the whell does move a little when pushing it back and forth real quick left and right, is that normal?

i think i'm just going to arbitrarily switch one out and if it goes away, cool. if not, put the old one back and and put it on the other side.

With the wheel off the ground (full droop), they'll probably bind. Forcing them to turn like that will booger them up. That's why I was saying to jack up the trailing arm to the same point that the suspension is compressed when it's sitting on it's wheels, only with the wheel in the air so you could turn it and listen to the CVs.
