Sad Hey all,

Some front end troubles.

My baja right side front don't droop. I mean when I push down on that side it moves but it will not compress like the left side does when I let it down off the jack to the ground. I mentioned that It has been cut and turned in another post . I've had that front end apart lots. Even switched torsions around to see if they played on the left. It was still the same. Right now I'm getting a new spring set and some adjusters. Going to try new torsions first, why, at this point through hours of trouble shooting I know the baja front end like the back of my tired hands so it really won't take me to long(one more time) or maybe I should start from scratch remove it from the car build a jig and grind off the previous mod and repair this the right way? I'm hoping nothings bent ? What do ya all think??? Question

Take the shock off and see if you can move it, if not then take the spindle assy off and see which torsion is sticking, that way you can narrow down where your problem is.

You could have a bad torsion arm bearing or a slightly bent beam that os binding an arm.

I've removed shocks and it does move better but it's still the same. The bearings feel ok. The movement is smooth on both sides but the right side feels like it requires more umph to move that side down. When you look at the car from the front you can see it (front axel) is pitched to the left. I'm hoping that the beam is slightly out of alignment due to the welding and is holding up that side? So should I first replace torsions as they are pitted in some spots and replace the bearings or do I remove the axel and start from scratch? I'd hate to think my baja is bent? If it is, then how would I be able to straighten this out? Remember guys I don't have the luxury of finding another pan in someones back yard that easy around here.

If you think the beam is bent you need to find out, if it looks bent it probably is. Before you worry about the pan find out about the beam. IF somebody went crazy with the welding or just plain screwed up then that has to be fixed. IF either tubes are not straight they have to be fixed or replaced (best option)

I sometimes look further ahead then needed Embarassed I really hope that it is the beam. The welding looks good (not a whole lot) so I don't think it's been deformed. As far as the alignment of the tubes it's hard to tell or even take decent measurements because of the clutter. I think it might be a good idea to remove the beam and get a good look without any obstuctions. If it turns out the beam is no good I'm wondering if I should re-work it with adjusters or just order the stock raised beam with adjusters installed from Chirco and make the swap?
I don't mind the work, in any case it's a part of the love of the baja!
Dunes are all the others. Very Happy
