Anyone know where to get the steel oval to split window conversion? I am starting work on my oval baja and think it would add to the shock value if I make it a split. I have seen the replacement divider and windows before but don't remember where I saw them.

Never seen one.

Keep the oval. You'll get plenty of grief over that, believe me. I know.

I will at least have the oval but if you are going for shock value, why not go all the way.

I got my tube chassis all ready for the oval, now I just need to finish trimming the body and send it to the blaster. After that I have to fix the areas that will be missing due to rust.

I am thinking 6x6 rear arms, 3x6 front arms on a 8" wider beam, and a supercharged V6.

IMHO - A "Real" oval beats a "Fake" split any day.

after you put in the fake split, pop rivet some sheet metal on the pillars...tell 'em there were some funky lights there, but they didn't work so you pitched them.
And how good the brakes work compared to the old cable brakes it had when you got it.
Plus how you figure it isn't real valuable since the dash isn't the same as most splits(a zwittter)
of course you could tell 'em about the ratty full length roll back sunroof that you took out and replaced with a regular roof so it'll be cooler inside once you cut holes in the dash for a/c......

If I was worried about what others thought I wouldn't even be building an oval baja.

Besides,

I already have two 2.3 turbo motors in stuff. This one is getting the 3.8 supercharged super coupe motor. I have not run air cooled in fifteen years.
