Every year on Labor Day Weekend, I do like thousands of others around the country and migrate to my favorite dove hunting spot. The area I go to every year is right on the Arizona border with California, south of Blythe, CA, and right across the river from Cibola, AZ.
We usually do very well hunting doves in this area. Last year, my 14 year old shot 40 in 4 days (limit: 10 per day), and I shot 37. I've been going there for years, and although it's very hot, we usually do very well and have a good time.
Is anyone interested in meeting up in the area to do a little hunting this year?

Ten a day is not a lot of food. It takes 5 doves just to make a snack. I would like to go but have a previous commitment.

i'd love to attend, not sure how i would get out that way though, if anyone else from the valley is going maybe i could hitch a ride with whoever is planning on going, it would look a bit strange riding my honda down the highway with a shotgun on my back
but hey my bug may be up and running by then so we'll see what happens!
i have plenty of hunting trips under my belt
My weapon of choice: 12G Remington Model 870 Express Magnum Pump w/Wood stock. Modified choke

I'm an 870 armorer, and have one myself. Hmmm, too bad I'm the oncall detetive that week. I'll have to stay within an hour of the PD for call out. I might be able to make it to the Gila Bend area though. Too bad. Good luck.

this is a big MAYBE for me, i'll have to see what my schedule is like and see if my Bug is up and running by then, and if it's even in shape to go, if everything works out I'LL GO! maybe i'll bring my other 12g along with the .357 just for fun
because i can't resist, here's my collection o' boomsticks:
TOP: Remington Model 870 Express Magnum 12g
Bottom: Taurus .357 Magnum
close up of .357
NOT SHOWN: MAGTECH 12G Break action, single round, full choke.

I could showe you my 'gun' but i think I would be banned from this site,
I only shoot pixels in call of duty 4.
I used to have a home made bow when I was about 16. Almost show a gul out the air, Nearly missed him. He saw it comming because he evaded my arrow.
I could see him thinking 'What the F!'
