I've thought about how to solve this problem for over 15 years, and now, thanks to this site, the problems is fixed (hopefully).

The problem is that when you mount your shocks inside the car in the rear, it leaves a hole in the fender that allows dirt, water, air, roadkill, and whatever else inside the car when you're driving. I needed a clean, sano way to keep all this stuff out. Somebody here posted a picture of a set up where someone cut up a wet suit and plugged the hole. I finally found one on Ebay a while back and I solved the problem today. I mounted it with pop rivets and sealed it on the inside and around the edges with Sikaflex (damn nasty stuff, BTW). It isn't perfect, but I hope it does the job.

We'll find out this weekend!

WOW!

I just got back from a test drive. The car is much quieter now. So far so good. They didn't fall off, either.
