I thought all aftermarket engine parts in cali have to have some sort of ID number that the cops can run to verify street legality. A wal mart muffler without said id number would be illegal on a civic wouldnt it?

yes I believe it is illegal and the trouble is with some cops here is they attack the people with afte market parts becouse off the street racing even bugs can become a victim. just make sure that a cop isnt behind you for too long so he doesnt think about running ur exhaust. and also sometimes rear cages help avoid interest in the exhaust. if you are still worried you can change the exhaust fairly easy I have a dual 1970 in my back yard and a dual 69 as well and a bug pack lol I prefer to use my performance system tho

ive been pulled over a bunch of times they look under the hood (on my jeep) and say ok your good. ai made my intake/ airfilter setup they normally dont know what they are looking at! i just make sure nothing really catches their eyes. of course if your cool, honest and polite they normally dont go over you with a fine tooth comb!

any intake system with a C.A.R.B. sticker (California Air Regulations Board) are legal. my jeep has an aftermarket one with out the CARB thing and the smog tech wouldnt even put it on the smog machine because it didnt pass the visual inspection. had to purchase a factory one

Not trying to ad anything meaningfull here but it is kinda the same in Holland.
I can't get a ticket for the noise because I can tell him it doesn't make noise. So he will need a db meter to prove I'm wrong which he hasn't.
But sit down and listen: He can give me a ticket for stuff sticking out and thus being dangerous when I hit someone. And my stinger sticks out...
Can you imagine, as if being hit by a car isn't dangerous anyway.
I make enough noise to get the hell out of my way. Smile

"Bomb" is slang over here for "Very Good".

Someday I'll make it to Amsterdam but I'm afraid I'd never want to leave.

Dunno, I grew up here it's okay but there are loads of assholes here.
I'd rather live somewhere else. Like Italy where kids still respect the elderly.
I'm not even that old but that is the number 1 thing I teach my kid.
Hey, weed is kinda legal but I'm not a smoker.
I guess when it's free its not that exiting anymore. VW parts are to expensive here. (after market is cheaper in the US). Petrol is to expensive.
Every country has soem good and bad I guess. I always like being in the US.
Might look you guys up some day. I've only been to NYC (on 9112001), and Denver.

yeah I gues that would be a pain in the ass in cali gas is about 5 bucks a gallon and where you are its like 10 so yeah thats a pain.
well smoker or not I think everyone should agree that it could be used medically and it shouldnt be federaly illegal if it is seen as a medical drug. its just an odd little deal going on. yeah its not much different here, there is a loss of respect for elders like just a cuple weeks ago I was watching t.v and they had a mix of videos on. its was one of the chanels that likes to act like there helping find someone that did something by exploiting there victims XD but. they were trying to get someone that beat up an old lady for money and he wasnt the only one there was lots of them becouse they seem to be an easy victim. and I also saw some old guy get hit by a car in the middle of the street and everyone just walked over him didnt even look down. and the driver drove away. and I was like what is humanity comming to. selfish or just sheep? when I have kids I will teach em to be gentlemen so they dont get lost in the crowd.

I want to visit holland and italy too.

and alote of other places.

where do you drive your baja in holland?

I live in Nijmegen, close to Arhem and Groesbeek, well known from 'a bridge to far' (Operation market garden). Your granddad might have been here Smile
My girlfriend is from Italy. We want to live there when her university is done.
I drive mostly on road, but do some illegal of roading or drive off road on meetings. I wish we had a desert.
If any off you guys ever want to visit Holland I can show you around.

This is an little track in the neighbourhood (illegal)
