Ice chest/Rubermade boxes etc. Budy used to call them adventur moduals. He had them set up for snow, summer, river, mud, rock crawl etc. so what ever type of 4x4 trip he would go on he would pull out the proper adventur modual that ad all the stuff he needed for that type of off road trip. All had invanory sheets etc. so he could restock or add things that he might need or did not have. When he got back home the Adventur modual went on the shelf and he was back in daily driver mode.

They have a name for that behavior- it's called "Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder". Laughing That's just wayyyy to anal/organized! I wish I was HALF that prepared!

But the cooler rack in the back of the car- definitely slick.

Well, I have been doing a bunch of body work on my car the last few days and some parts gathering. The latest was this oil cooler. After I got the cooler I realized that the two ice chests were going to have to go Sad . I will keep one and I'm planning to enclose the area around the ice chest and oil cooler for storage now. I will post pics when I'm finished.

New to me cooler... 13"x13"x3.5".......Fan pulls from the back

Cooler mounted...

I'll post more as work is completed... Wink

Once the body is put back on the Baja will shine through, he is going about it the right way, protection where it is needed and performance where it counts.

A little more body work done. I'm planning on putting the door glass back in someday so I will leave them open.

Done...

Also started on the roof. Here's a pic with it just clamped on. I will trim the windshield frame down just a tad to take a little of the curve out.

Just make sure you make that roof rack big enough to carry all my spare parts.

Still plugg'in away.... Finally put the body on for the last time and started working on the mounts. Due to not having any heater channels mounting the body wasn't as straight forward as I would have liked. I still need to add some mounts to the "A" pillar and my flared hole pieces to the rocker area.

The heater channel was cut out some time ago and I welded in a piece of 1 1/2" X 2" square tubing along the under side of the door.

Next I had a piece of 3/16" metal bent like a 3 x 4 angle iron and put it from the outside of the square tubing and set the other side on the pan like normal.

It turned out real clean... I just need to finish welding it at the door.

I also added my shifter mount and box. Here are a couple of different views...

And I even had a little time for some goof'in off. Took all of the shocks off to see what it would look like at full compression front and back at the same time...(like that could ever happen) Wink .

I think I need to do a little fender trimm'in... What do you think Leather Wink

VIN... I'm not sure on the rear arms... They are 3x3"s and the rear springs are 300/350. These springs came from some one that had an ACVW and switched to a water pumper. He told me that they worked real well on his car until he did the conversion... and the price was right Wink

I'll keep posting as more work is done... Brian

Body will be "new beetle blue" and the frame light gray. Engine tin will be blue also.
