My brother in law (Al) and I went to check out the end of Wilmot road here in Tucson today. I felt bad about missing the Rolls run. We had a blast, but were only there for a couple hours.

I lost my whole headlight bucket on the passenger side, and cracked the other bulb. The welds on the brackets Blaine and I installed were't welded hot enough.

One video is a dash cam (as in, you see the dash most of the time). We were going 55 or so on the fast parts.

The other video is me driving like an idiot on some really rough terrain. It is actually a dirt bike/quad track....I just raved across it rather than follow the track!!! Berms, shmerms.

Got airborne a few times. That's how I lost my headlight.

Oh, well.

Jeff

It was fun!

Whoops - I was hosing the car down, and doing my usual walk around post-thrashing inspection.

I found the passenger side CV bolts had partially backed out, and oh no, I apparently broke the entire shock mount off the rear trailing arm. I guess I am not that surprised.

I need top get my MIG welder out here ASAP. Again, a pre and post offroad inspection is an important part of every adventure!

Did you say to yor wife "Gee honey, now I HAVE to get those 3x3 arms. Oh darn." lol
Didn't your CV bolts come loose before recently? Did you have them lock washered or wired this time?
South end of Wilmont? Geez, you know ALL the places around here! Very Happy
I guess a Baja is like an F-4; converts fuel into smoke and noise.... and smiles Cool

LOL.

Yeah, I also tore my steering puck. Just one side, but I ordered one at BAP.

I really want the 3x3 setup....but at around $1000, I have to wait.

Gotta love it!

You NEED to get your car back on the road!

Jeff

that does look like a great area to play, and your rig is looking good Jeff. But you still have a ways to go before you're equally crazy. Wink

Holy crap.

I stand in awe.

I couldn't get enough speed in that video, as it was REALLY rough back there, the video fails to capture it!

But yours did. WOW. Surprised
