Silver swoosh added, and some of the decals...AzBaja.com ones on the way, as well as HUGE Tecate beer (oops...CERVESA) decals for the doors and hood.

I think I will add a set of 5/1600 numbers, too. Why not. At this point, it is already a wannabe race car.

The BF Goodrich decals on the front fenders went on surprisingly well.

Jeff

I painted them on.

It was easy, really. Buy a roll of good 2" masking tape. I put 3 strips down, and the bottom 2 I marked off evey 2" with a ruler and a pencil, top to bottom. Then take a sharp knife (Xacto), and cut straight down every 2" through the bottom 2 strips of tape. Then go back, and rmove every other square of tape, and paint. The top strip of tape is a mask strip.

When the paint tacks, remove the remaining tape squares CAREFULLY, pulling diagonally, keeping the peeled edge as close to the surface as you can. Pull the masking strip next.

Pull the masking tape when the paint is tacky, not fully dry, or it will flake at the edges.

Let me tell you, putting a 2 foot wide decal on a curvy 1 piece front end is NO picnic. It came out OK, from 5 feet it looks good.

Thanks, guys. I only want a couple more decals, Jox... Tecate stickers for the doors, a couple more contingency stickers, and that's it. MAYBE "class 5" racing number 517.

Next is the giant Warrior 6" wider beam project, and pushing the front end out 3". I will also be tubing out the whole front end and eliminating a ton of stuff like the sheet metal, front fuel tank, etc.. I am saving my pennies as we speak! (Translation: getting ready to sell more sh!t.)

I also want to do a bunch of bracing to the existing cage.

Jeff

Thanks, Rob!

WaBaja, I got it (and almost all the other ones) on ebay...

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...54527&rd=1

Yes, I am a wannabe racer. Wink

By the way, I am considering having Eric change my username to "Superdude".

My 9 year old daughter would be thrilled. She drew it on the car, after all. The gate guards at the heliport get a big kick out of it!

Jeff (aka. Superdude)
