Man i feel this guys pain. my pan is rusted through too. pretty much on both sides. My neighbor can get me sheets of 1/8" aluminum, do you think that it will work for a floor pan. 1/8" is pretty sturdy, i will have to bolt it or rivit it to the frame. that could be an idea to help jordan out too.

"oem" (if you will) replacement floor pans are grooved and should have seat mounts in em. makes it a whole lot easier.

When you remove the Pan is there a frame that goes around it, or is the frame built in to the pan sheet metal. And do the heater channels on the outside of the Pan come off with the body or is that the frame?

The heater channels are part of the body. The whole side comes off. Look in the pictures under projects there is a picture of a pan with the sides cut off.

Sorry I don't know how to link the picture.

Once you add a role cage you weld your seats to the cage not to the floor pan.

mykul,,,go to the picture then cut and paste the address into the text. give that a shot....if it is totally nec. to weld or fasten to the body or pan. you MUST install a min. 3"x3" square metal of 1/8 in minimum thickness to distribute the load .If you bolt it to the body or pan, weld the pipe to the square metal and make a duplicate piece to go opposite of the one welded to the pipe, "sandwich" the body or pan between these two pieces, use grade 5 or better due to the tensile strength. See below.....

Are we off the subject yet? Sorry, I ramble alot
