make sure you put the tranny back in.

Laughing

like azbaja said, that grounding strap on the mount is probably left disconnected and lonely.. thats a good place to start. (after you make sure the tranny is still there)

Look down the carb, pump the gas, see a good stream of gas, what did you disconnect? Check points are still good, dizzy and rotor are good, all wires hooked up to the correct point, go back over everything, take your time, something simple.

well, my dad is telling me that when he hooked everything back up to the coil, he may have gotten some wires switched around and may have fried the coil. would that fry the coil or am i still looking for a grounding problem?

grab your book and just quick look over what wires go where on the coil, dissy etc. DISCONNECT battery before you do anything else Laughing ... it is probably something really simple as stated above, just go over everything you touched since it last ran, and you WILL find the problem.

first of all, i dont have a book Smile i know where they all go, i looked at it before we disconnected, but i didnt check it after he hoocked them up and i started it. so it could be a fried coil? ill check all the grounds tomarrow, but as far as i know none were disconnected.

yeeeeaaaaah....... check to see if they are now where they were before. if not, a fried coil may be the culprit... best of luck to you!
