I put a rebuild kit in my Dell 40 a few weeks ago, but would really like to find someone to get it running really well, y'know? I'd like someone who can not only get me set up with just the right jetting, but also can adjust this thing and tune it on the car.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Seems like good carb guys these days are getting really hard to find. I'll admit it- it's wayyyy over my head!

I am learning, got the book, doing some studing, the turbo really puts a kink in my learning curve though, but I have heard some well tuned ones and man it is worth the hassle. Hang in there Jarhead.

I have goofed around with mine a ton, but I fear I may have had it too lean or something when I messed up my engine.

Just got back from Paul's house. All I can say is WOW. My carb was so screwed up I can't believe it ran. Get this- it had NO venturis in it AT ALL. In addition to that, it was jetted too fat on both idle jets and main jets. It was sucking fuel like crazy, had no bottom end power to speak of, started hard when warm, and was an unresponsive pig when driving around town in the 2,000 rpm range. Amazing.

It's amazing that these engines will even run with things so screwed up sometimes, huh?
