did beetles ever come stock with torsion adjusters?

if so did they come on 74's?

reason i ask is there's a nut on each of my beams. do these hold my torsion leaves in place?

If you are talking about the nuts in the center of the beam with a 19mm head on them, yes they hold the torsion leafs in place. If you look close there is a set screw otherwise known as a grub screw that takes an 8mm allen wrench to remove. These are NOT adjusters. If you are not familiar with these get the VWs for dummies book and read up before taking rhem apart.
