how did you figure out your spring rate ?

I actually got the springs from a person on another site. He said that when they were in his car they worked really good with a ACVW engine. When he switched to an Accura engine they were to light. I'll try 'em and see what happens Wink

FOA does have a spring rate calculator also.

What happened to the bug body that you cut the top off of? Do you still have it?

I don't have the body but I know where it is and I think I can get it.

JR. came over to help with my seat mounts today. She did a little welding and some art work on the hood... Wink

And a FREE word of advice... Wink

I will be doing a bunch of dimple die work tomorrow. I'll post pics when I'm done.

Happy Easter everyone...

Today I did a little dimple die'in on some metal I had cut for my body mounts. I had borrowed this tool from another member and was very excited to be able to get to use it. I would like to thank the lender of this item... You know who you are Very Happy

This is the die ...

Practice...

First step... measure and drill holes

Insert into the "squeezinator" and squeeze...

1st piece done... these will be for the "A" pillar

Sill plates being measured up...

One down... one to go... Wink

Made this little thing to protect the oil filter... Very Happy

Installed...

All of these parts will be added whem I mount the body for the last time. I just wanted to have them ready. I will post more pics at that time Wink .

Here are a couple of pics of the foot rest I made for my better half Very Happy .

Same thickness of metal as the other parts I made. The 2 holes on the outsides ended up to close to the edge (brain fart). I think it will be ok though it's just a foot rest Embarassed .

A first for me... I rolled the edges a little bit, thought it would look a little cleaner. I still need to weld the edges and blend smoooooooth Wink .

Test fit... Wifey likey Very Happy

Today I took the body back off . I'm taking the frame to work to get it out of the way. I will start the body work this week and hope to have it done by next weekend. after it's done the frame will come back home and the body will go to work. Lots and lots of welding to do, then body back on and rear shock mounts... Very Happy
