try going up 1 spline on the torsion bars in the rear will bring you up about two inches i wouldent cut off the stops becuase that would allow the springplates to drop lower than the type 1 joints can handle

well right now my rear right wheel rubs on my fender when i hit any kind of bump. the guy i bought it from put 31's on there. they are some beefy tires. and there is only 1/2" between the spring plate and the stop when the vw is sitting on the ground not moving. so is 1 notch on the spline going to make it so that i am right on the stop?

About there, you may have to compress them to get them in. This is where it gets tricky.

More of a bit than a socket. Why do you need them out?

also in the front on the link pin beam you can remove one split stack of springs and replace it with a solid spring. but only do one of the split packs, both is some times too stiff. You will need another link pin beam to get the extra stacks
