i guess im going to make my super beetle a real mellow baja bug, not do anything crazy in it.. for now. but can you widen the front end for the wheels to stick out farther? do they sell spacers or something?

sell it super bugs are to much trouble buddy of mine took his out on a dirt road and hit a bump at 30 mph and snapped the shock in half

i've never seen spacers to make the front stance wider if thats what you are talking about. you would probably have to homebrew something like that.

Some guy saw my baja at IHOP and was telling me about his. He said something along the lines of he took the struts off and put on some gas filleds i think it was. I may have the story wrong but suppose you can or did do this, would it help?

The problem with the super front suspension is its weak. Even for driving on the roads, if you hit a pot hole or anything that may even seem minor it knocks the front end out of alighnment. These cars always seem to have a shimmy too, even with all new parts on them. Another problem is the strut towers, the first time you go off roading the srut towers will bend, even if you have a brace between them.

You can get gas charged struts the same way you can get gas charged shocks. That in itself won't widen the stance.
