Muffles a little better than the one I have now.

Mine looks cool and all, but it doesn't really do much quieting. It should be expected being a short straight through design.

How do the longer mufflers similar to the one I have now muffle?

This is the current one.

I am looking similar to this, but I fear it will be almost just as loud.

When I had a muffler I had a 18" long one on, between that and the dual kads sounded like a set of glass packs, both are gone now. But before I had a spark arrestor on and it did squat for sound, the 18" helped alot and did not look to bad.

Mine is a "Supertrapp" design real similar to Leather's. It seems to be very quiet- almost disappointingly quiet actually.

I'm definitely wanting to replace mine with a ceramic setup at some point, as mine's chrome is somewhat discolored and the u-pipe is galvanized and so on (picky, I know). BUT, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to keep this one for awhile until I've got a few miles on this thing and can sneak a purchase past the wife.

I like loud. Loud is good.

I always had straight up Tri-mil stingers on my other bajas, but the one I am hoping to get has a Bugpack (I think?) muffler.

Hmmm.

Everyone says the Camaro is too loud, too. Oh well.

Jeff

I like the engine sound but after awhile the exhaust noise just scrambles my head, just to loud, need ear protection loud, loud like a Harley passes you and your window is down loud. I do like hearing the turbo spool though Cool

I run a Supertrapp, too. The nice thing is that they're adjustable. If you think it's too loud, just take one or two discs out. It will run quieter. You sacrifice a little high-end power for quieter, but you gain low-end torque. If you feel like lettin' loose, you just put your discs back in.

There's always trade off.

I think a nice turbo would quiet it down a little. Very Happy
