If I didn't already have a ride I would ride it too.

Well anyway, what are your plans for engine, suspension, well everything, what parts do you have? Time to get busy now.

I got after it tonight. First thing was to clean out the interior. The floor looks pretty good. I am debating whether or not to replace the pan. The rear area of the passenger side has a couple of small holes in it.

I removed the engine block from the tranny. The clutch felt like it was working well. The brakes work too.

I think the clutch on my other motor must be a different kind. It looks totally different.

The pedal area looks good. The moisture is from the tow home in the ice.

I started removing extra wiring and I removed the lights from the roof.

I also took a pic of the other rear side window. Some serious etching went on here. Shocked

A shot of the dash.

I took advantage of the cold weather today and stayed in the shop to get this thing stripped. Whoever had this before me was really into self tapping sheetmetal screws. I found a big problem when I removed the hood.

Yes, that's 1/2" steel strap welded to the head. Geez, Overkill!!! Still it's broken.

I think i'm going to run new wires. These wires go every which way. Mostly in circles. Very Happy

Last was the sawzall...... Now it's starting to look like the baja i'm hoping for.

I spent a few hours removing the seats and using a propane torch to dry the floor ,then brushing it with a wire brush to removed the dirt and rust,.

Are you going to pull the body off the pan? That frame head looks spooky!

I'm not sure. I'm going to definitely get a new head frame. Do I need to take the body off to replace it?

I would pull the body if it was my project, I found that my rear torsion was bent after removing the body. With that much damage up front I would want to see the rest up close. My bro-inlaw is gonna be out here around Easter, let me chat with him about getting you a pan. He owns a trucking outfit.
