These things have saved my ass on more than one occasion. I've got set of the steel chrome ones on my new engine, but I took them off. I'm just not comfortable with the idea of chromies. I figure they'll reflect a lot of heat back to the pushrod tubes, which serve an important role in cooling the engine. My old ones were blue anodized aluminum, but I could have sworn that somebody used to make them in black.

Anybody know where I can get a set of black anodized? I can only find them in gold, blue, red, and satin.

Thx.

What about having them powder coated? Any color you want.

AZ350X posted awhile back, he is doing powdercoating on the side. He can fix you up!

I was wondering when he would pop in on this one! If I was going to make them black, I would just spray can 'em. It's easier to fix when you bang them up!

Not a real good picture but they are stout enough to stand on them.
