Do you want a pic of the body or the frame?

No... I started with a sedan and cut the roof off. About 6 months into my project I ran across a convertible and replaced my sedan body with the 'vert body.

This thing looks great!! What do your neighbors think of a baja bug? I just mention baja bug to my neighbors and their eyes glaze over. Very Happy I'm glad to see someone back here in my area building something this cool. You have inspired me.

So far so good... I have great luck with nieghbors. 2 out of 3 of mine are cops Wink . The one across the street dogs me about 3 times a week to "hurry up and finish that thing so you can take me for a ride". I've asked him some things about it street leagal (beadlocks)... he gets his 'lil law book out and quotes me the law, then he says if anyone gives me any trouble that he will take care of it Shocked ... We'll see Wink .

I made a little more progress this weekend. Put some finishing touches on the back half of the pan. When Leather was here he said he thought I needed some bracing in the door area. I like the ones on Skid's car and will try to do something close to the same if he doesn't mind. Tomorrow I'm going to start working on that and finish the seat mounts Smile . Here are some pics...

Capped off the ends of the framehorn

These run to the torsion housing

Cut more of the old rear upper shock mount off... Gotta save some weight Wink

My FOA's, cv's, axles and all the fixin's should be here in a couple of weeks. By then most of these little odds and ends should be done and Leather is coming back over to help with rear shock mounts and limit straps Wink

Been looking at alot of pics and talking to Leather and Skid and have decieded to add some support in the door area. It may make it harder to get in and out of the car but I think it will be worth it. Tell me what you guys think.

This is how I started

Next, some 1" for support.

A couple of different views...

There will also be a 3x3 gusset on top of the 1 1/2 tube at the 'A' and "B" piller.

I have also been working on the seat mounts. Here are some pics of what I came up with.

I'll post more pics as work progresses... Wink
